Prepare to Sleep – Sleep Consultancy Services

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all sleep consultancy services provided by Patricia Flynn / Prepare to Sleep (“we”, “us”, “our”) via www.PrepareToSleep.com and associated booking platforms.
Our services are available to clients worldwide.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, and any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the UK courts. By registering for or participating in any group or individual consultation, event, or workshop, whether online or in person, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions
2.1 The founder of Prepare to Sleep is a qualified Occupational Therapist registered to practice in Ireland and Belgium only.
2.2 However, when delivering services through Prepare to Sleep, she is practising in the capacity of a Sleep Therapist, not as an Occupational Therapist.

2.4 These services are not medical care and are not a substitute for consultation with a GP, paediatrician, health visitor or other qualified healthcare professional.
If clinical or medical concerns arise, you are advised to seek appropriate medical input.
2.5 The definition of the services provided has implications for health insurance reimbursement. Please check if your specific insurance policy reimburses sleep consultation / therapy /coaching ahead of scheduling an appointment with us.
3.1 We provide personalised sleep education, guidance and support for infants, children and families.

3.3 All guidance is based on current research, developmental understanding and recognised public health recommendations at the time of delivery.
4.1 Sleep development varies significantly between children.
4.2 We provide professional, evidence-informed and ethical support and, like all sleep advisors, we cannot and therefore do not guarantee specific outcomes, including but not limited to:
4.3 Outcomes depend on multiple factors including health, temperament, neurodevelopment, multidimensional environment and consistency of implementation.
5.1 We may share research findings, international and national guidelines and public health information relating to sleep practices, risk factors and relative risks.
5.2 All decisions about:
remain the sole responsibility of the parent(s) or legal guardian(s).
5.3 Parents and caregivers are responsible for conducting their own informed risk assessments and making decisions that are appropriate for their individual circumstances.
5.4 We do not supervise sleep arrangements and cannot assume responsibility for parenting decisions made following consultation.

You remain responsible for your child’s wellbeing at all times.
7.1 Full payment is required within a week of booking unless an agreed payment plan is in place.
7.2 Prices are as stated at the time of booking and may be updated.
7.3 Appointments are offered subject to availability. Whilst we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred date and time, we cannot guarantee that appointments will be available at times that are convenient for you. Availability may vary depending on clinician schedules, service demand, and operational requirements.
7.4 We reserve the right to reschedule or rearrange appointments where necessary. In such circumstances, reasonable notice will be provided wherever possible and an alternative appointment time will be offered.
We aim to offer a fair and understanding approach, recognising that family life can be unpredictable. If you cannot attend scheduled appointments, we do request reasonable notice so that the time slot can be offered to other families.

8.3 Illness, Emergencies and Serious/Unavoidable Circumstances
8.4 If we need to cancel due to illness, emergency, bereavement, or other unavoidable circumstances, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered an alternative appointment time. Any prepaid fees will be transferred to the rescheduled session (or refunded if preferred).

You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate technology and internet access.

We hold appropriate professional indemnity insurance for sleep therapy services. Prepare to Sleep holds professional indemnity insurance within the United Kingdom for services provided in the capacity of a sleep therapist. While services may be delivered globally, all advice, guidance, and consultations are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom (including England, Wales, Scotland, and the Channel Islands). This insurance covers claims arising from the professional services provided under these Terms.
We reserve the right to update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be published on our website.
